HOME

June 12:  Stacy Arrives in Alaska
June 13:   Today we took a ride on the P/V Great Land around Resurrection Bay.  We got to see orca, otters, bald eagles, and  puffins what a beautiful area.  Scott is ready to come back
June 14:   Good bye to the Mustang

After an official see ya later Scott took a ceremonial dip into the 51 degree ocean.

Fair winds and following seas!!

June 15:  Happy birthday to Scott.

Today we started driving.  We made it to Anchorage. We spent some time in town buying extra toys for the truck and then we tooled around on Elemendorf, that's where we met Matty our moose.

Click on the moose crossing to meet Matty the moose
June 16: Today we  headed out bright and early to get to Tok by sun set that means we have until one am to make a 350 mile trip.  =)

Here are a few shots from the road!

Good bye Alaska.

June 17:

Tok is beautiful but beware of the bugs they are huge!!!!!! I don't know what's worse being bitten or being  hit in the eye while driving the ATV.   There are two must do's when you visit Tok, one ATV and or Snow machine (No kidding you take an ATV anywhere including to and from your house and work), two spend a meal at the Samon Bake.  you cant miss it it's on the main drag the Alaska hwy, we recommend the salmon, reindeer sausage, and the chicken!

June 18: Whitehorse:  is a major point of interest during the Klondike gold rush, in the 1800's.  The Yukon is where author Jack London spent much of his time!!
June 19: What can I say about the
Yukon.  looks a lot like Alaska only with fewer people!  One cool place that's pretty cool is Watson lake, home of the sign forest.
June 20 Send some one to fetch us were in Saskatchewan... moving right along!!!

Boy this place is FLAT FLAT FLAT  Saskatchewan has big sky and you can almost see the curvature of the earth.  while on the interstate you can actually look in all 360 degrees and see horizon.

June 22  Well we are finished with our traveling straight across.  For the next two weeks we are going to be visiting with family and then its up to
Michigan to settle in =)
